Samsung Galaxy A33 5G to Start Receiving Android Security Patches Globally from July 2022

A series of Samsung handsets brings in the highest sales volume for the Korean company. This year’s A lineup was also well received by fans for its premium designs, 5G connectivity, and timely update schedule. Living up to the claims, the A33 5G has just caught the latest July 2022 security patch for some Asian markets which users have been waiting for a long time

The update is currently available for Samsung Galaxy A33 5G devices in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam. A wave of updates is also expected to hit the Pakistani market with firmware version A336EDXU2AVG2

This July patch went through many different models before arriving for the Galaxy A32 4G. Surprisingly, the 5G variant of the A32 has also received a security patch in some regions. Other members of the A family like the Galaxy A52 5G, A33 5G, and flagships like the S22 series, Note 10, Note 10 Lite, S10, and S10 lite have also successfully received the July patch

Samsung launched the A33 5G while claiming up to 3 years of timely Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches. As seen on previous handsets, the update addresses the same 50+ vulnerabilities related to Google’s OS and Samsung’s own UI

Three critical and twenty-five high-priority vulnerabilities have been addressed by this update. They compromised most of the security features of the new Samsung 5G mobile like Knox Security, App Lock, Contacts Storage, Samsung Finder etc

Apart from these significant risks, there were no moderate risks. However, this update also improves the overall stability and user interface of the Galaxy A33 5G. Before completing its Asian mission, the update will roll out to other regions as well
